"Show and Tell"

I loved show and tell when I was  eight years old. When I was in elementary school, show and tell
was one of my favorite part of class.

I miss Show and Tell, as all of the kids gathered around
into a circle. I really enjoyed the kids telling their stories of
family vacations. It felt like story time and we'd bring in props, and items from out of town.
We'd learn about different cultures. Show and tell is a fun way to learn about how to tell stories and learn to express ourselves by telling stories, and having a great time with friends. Show and tell is one of my favorite subjects in school. Along with
Music, English, and Math. History
"Reading and Writing"
(Here is a short story)
What inspires me to read and write?  I remember when my siblings and I put on little plays and short skits in front of our parents. It was a lot of fun back in our old house. Those are the years of inspiration of writing my own plays. At elementary school, in English, I had to write short stories about me and my young life. They were easy read, ordinary elementary school  books. I had to bring pictures of my family vacations and me growing up  and other adventures. Which I called them "My I See Books" .  They were a lot of fun to write, and I kept both of the books for all these years.  I enjoy looking back and reading them. I started to realize, I love to write and  after 25 years it made me the great writer I am today.

Reading
I've loved to read ever since I was about eight or nine years old. I remember my mom reading,
"Goodnight Moon" to me while she rubbed my back at bedtime.  It was my favorite book when I was a kid.  I have always loved listening to my mom's stories that she made up. I miss those years.

Now 25 years later....

"Reading"  is a skill that I use all the time.  I  have read over 30 books-novels (and keep  counting),  I can remember some of the books I have all ready read,  "Elvis & Me: By Priscilla
Presley", " Michael Jackson:  Unauthorized autobiography",  the Twilight four series box set, ( Which I got from my parents at Christmas), the Goosebumps series by R.L.Stine, "You've been Warned" by James Patterson, "Out of Sync' by Lance Bass.  I love to read.

I remember reading a R.L. Stine book on a family vacation. I had finished the book, and my brother  quizzed me to  see "If I really did read the book". He asked me questions about the book which I answered.  He was impressed  with how many questions I could answer.
It was all so fun, and now, looking back over those 25 years I have kept my favorite childhood memory when mom had read to me.
So I want everyone to share the same experience I did growing up;  what my reading and writing has been for me. It has brought the inner child within me out-
" I am able to do the things I love the most"....
